How hard can it be to type three digits into a computer? Can sitting down regularly in a comfortable chair really rest your legs? Whose gas is it anyway? WTF?

Dear Rob, What a refreshing surprise to hear such quality humour on life in Greece. Born in a Greek family and raised in an Anglo-Saxon country, I could relate to both sides and at some points can unashameably say, was crying from laughing so much.
What is amazing is that my friend here in England where I’m living at the moment, also has an olive grove in Stoupa. When she first mentioned the name, it struck me such an odd word for a village and I thought it must be a most obscure place, until she informed me Easyjet and Thomson charter planes fly directly close by of all places. No doubt a sign of overdevelopment you touched on in one of your podcasts.
I’m looking forward to the next one and trust you and Penny arrived well from Kefallonia. Am also looking forward to reading the first chapter of your book as soon as I have the chance.
All the best and let’s hope the mood in Greece or at least among the expats in Stoupa, will improve one podcast at a time.

Hi Tia and many thanks for your encouraging remarks. I’m sorry I made you cry, but I’m glad it was for the right reasons!
Just to clarify, we only rented the house in Stoupa for about four months while we looked round for a place to buy, which we eventually did, and we now live on the west coast of the Peloponnese.
Yes, Penny and I are now back from Kefalonia and there’s a little bit about the wedding and Greek marriage traditions in the next podcast, which should be out in the next couple of days.
I hope you enjoy the first chapter of ‘Busted Flush’ and thanks again for your comments.
Best wishes,
Rob
