Following on from The Undertaking (the second book in the Cremains comedy caper series), Grave Expectations picks up the story of Max, Alan and Scratch and their struggling undertaker business.

Once again on the brink of financial disaster, along comes a woman who Max met very briefly in Cremains — a dominatrix with a supposedly foolproof plan to rob a bank.

What they hadn’t bargained for, though, was that the bank job was just the beginning of a catastrophic series of events including blackmail, betrayal, murder and an unwelcome brush with organised crime.

Following on from the first book in the Cremains comedy caper series, which oddly enough was called Cremains, the sequel is finally ready for publication.

The Undertaking picks up the story of Max, Alan and Scratch not long after they’ve taken over the running of Danny Bishop’s funeral parlour.

But the business is heading for financial disaster until Max and co are offered a substantial amount of money to collect a body from France. It sounded a simple enough undertaking, so what could possibly go wrong?
